Why are parts so much cheaper at Midwest Power than on other sites?

Two reasons: Inventory and Freight

  • Inventory – We stock a majority of the parts you need right here in our local store. That not only allows us to get the parts to you faster, but also allows Midwest Power Parts to pass on our bulk inventory discounts to our customers so that YOUR PRICE is always LESS than the suggested retail price!
  • Freight – We check shipping options through USPS, UPS, and FedEx so that we can use the most cost and time efficient method available to us. Our shipping rates are tiered based on cost, which is significantly less expensive than following the trend to automatically charge UPS rates. Please see the chart at the bottom of this page for a complete list of chipping costs.

Note: If you would prefer to have your parts shipped UPS Ground, Next Day Air, or Second Day Air, just give us a call and we’d be happy to oblige. Please also note that in rare cases, additional shipping charges may be applicable to extremely heavy or bulky items. In these cases, you will receive a courtesy contact notifying you of the charges prior to processing your order.

Why do some parts say that I have to call for pricing?

Part numbers and prices are constantly being changed by the manufacturers. In some cases, the best way to ensure that we are getting you exactly what you need for the best possible price is to check with our parts department before finalizing your order. If "call us" is proceeded by a super cession, the part you need has been replaced by a newer part with a slightly different part number. Click the box for "new model," then type the super cession/part number into the parts search box. When you hit "search" this time, the new part number will appear along with appropriate pricing.

Do you offer bulk discounts for commercial customers?

YES! Of course we do! Please contact us in order to ensure that we are able to offer you a discount code based upon the best possible current promotions.

I live in the greater Lansing area. Can I order parts online and pick them up in the store without having to pay for shipping?

YES! Our local customers have kept us going since 1980, and remain top priority. As you are completing the check-out process, simply click on “Will Call,” and freight costs will be waived! Many parts are in stock and available for you to pick up at your convenience; however, you may wish to contact our parts department to be sure. Parts that we do not stock are ordered from the manufacturer and generally arrive within a few days – subject to availability.

What is your return policy?

No returns, exchanges or warranty without receipt or after 30 days. Returns on engines are not accepted because of federal shipping regulations, and all electrical parts and equipment are final sale. A 25% restocking fee on returned special order parts and all equipment purchases may apply. If you have a question about a return, please contact customer service.

Will Midwest Power ever sell my personal information?

NO! Your personal information will be kept private. We use the information you submit for order confirmations, not for solicitation.

How long do orders normally take to ship out?

Orders normally take 2-7 business days for orders to ship. Even though we have a great large selection of parts we do not carry everything shown on our website.

What exactly do you charge for shipping?

Shipping is based off the Shipping Zone, package size and weight. The shipping rates are a rough estimate of what the charges maybe for your order to ship. Additional charges may apply depending on shipping zone, package size and weight. You will be notified of a shipping charge increase before your payment is processed. Any order over $150.00 is free shipping regardless of shipping zone, package size or weight.
